Justine Sherman

Justine established Justine Sherman & Associates, a private practice in Sierra Madre, California in January 2007 and ultimately clinics in Pasadena and Claremont in 2013. Justine has been trained in Stanley Greenspan’s Floortime™ approach and Lindamood-Bell’s Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking®, The Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® Program for Reading, Spelling and Speech (LiPS®) and On Cloud Nine® programs. Additionally, Justine has augmented her professional development in the areas of childhood apraxia of speech, autism, early intervention, Talk Tools® and executive functioning skills. In addition to her work as a speech-language pathologist, Justine is also a Certified Orofacial Myologist. She specializes in working with clients presenting with orofacial myofunctional conditions including tongue thrusting and TMJ disorders.

In May 1996, Justine graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology from James Madison University. Upon receiving a scholarship and Teaching Assistantship, she attended The George Washington University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 1998.

Justine then moved to California where she worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public school system. After gaining extensive experience over a 6 year period, Justine decided to transition into the private sector where she could develop and implement a specialized treatment program that met the needs of individuals presenting with a broader range of speech and language difficulties. In 2004 she accepted a position as Associate Director of Speech-Language Associates, specializing in speech-language pathology and orofacial myology.  After establishing the foundation of her treatment approach, Justine established Justine Sherman & Associates, a private practice in Sierra Madre, California in January 2007 and ultimately clinics in Pasadena and Claremont in 2013.
